Nairobi Work Programme of the UNFCCC

The Nairobi work programme (NWP) was established at COP11 (December 2005), throughdecision 2/CP.11, as a mechanism under the United National Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC)  to facilitate and catalyze the development and dissemination of information and knowledge that would inform and support adaptation policies and practices. Animal Welfare Coalition

Animal Welfare Coalition is a group of like-minded organisations set up with the objective of advocating, and lobbying for a new animal welfare bill that will better cater to address curbing cruelty to animals in Sri Lanka. The Coalition also aims to work on effective implementation of the Bill once enacted, and addressing issues that violate the protection of animal welfare.  SLYCAN Trust is a founding member of the organisation, and focuses on the legislative reforms on cruelty to animals in Sri Lanka.








Global Civil Society Platform on Sustainable Development

This forum for global civil society coordination on the Sustainable Development Agenda, including the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Paris Climate Agreement. The forum is focused on: implementation, monitoring and accountability, policy co-ordination and mobilisation. SLYCAN is a member of the working groups on Outreach and Communications and Resourcing and Projects.
