Youth are a key stakeholder in climate action and building climate resilience. Enhancing youth-led entrepreneurship is an important measure to scale up climate action, and adaptive capacity to climate vulnerabilities. Further, youth as innovators can be critical drivers of green growth and find solutions to climate change through ethical, sustainable & climate-friendly entrepreneurship.
EthicalX Global is an initiative of SLYCAN Trust which aims to strengthen the start-up ecosystem and support ethical, sustainable, and climate-friendly entrepreneurship in food systems, fashion, waste management, and tourism, with a special focus on empowering youth and those from rural communities. Under the EthicalX Global Programme a session on ‘Climate Entrepreneurship & Self-Reliant Communities’ was conducted to build capacities of youth on opportunities for scaling up innovation and entrepreneurship.
