Women at the Frontlines: Advancing Gender-Responsive Climate Action and Sustainable Entrepreneurship

28th March, 2026 | 10:00 to 12:00 EAT

Nairobi, Kenya

Introduction

Climate 2.0 is a ClimaComms initiative focused on creating informal and innovative conversation spaces on climate change, bringing together diverse actors from researchers and practitioners to entrepreneurs, communicators, and community leaders. Climate 2.0 dialogues aim to foster holistic discussions on urgent global challenges and synergistic solutions. By bridging gaps between sectors, stakeholder groups, and perspectives, Climate 2.0 seeks to create an inclusive and equitable dialogue on our shared future.

This Climate 2.0 dialogue on advancing gender-responsive climate action and sustainable entrepreneurship aims to explore the gender dimensions of climate change and how strengthening women's participation and leadership can serve as a key enabler for locally grounded climate action, sustainable livelihoods, and inclusive economic growth. Through ClimaComms, SLYCAN Trust acts as a facilitator of dialogue and collaboration, helping bridge gender equity with practical and sustainable climate solutions in partnership with the EthicalX initiative.

Accordingly, this dialogue will explore how women-led businesses, climate-friendly local economies, and inclusive decision-making processes can be actively leveraged to build a resilient, equitable, and sustainable future for communities across Africa.
