Azan is an Environment Analyst at the Climate Change Department of the Ministry of Environment, Climate Change and Technology of Maldives. He completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Marine and Antarctic Science at University of Tasmania Australia, and has a background in Marine and Antarctic ecosystems. Prior to joining the Climate Change Department, Azan worked with the Maldives Marine Research Institute and Crossroads Maldives in various projects related to coral reef monitoring and rehabilitation. At present, he is working on adaptation and resilience work such as development of the National Adaptation Plan in Maldives and other advocacy work related to adaptation.
